Mississauga Transit officially relaunched itself as MiWay on October 04, 2010.
The major change is having different buses designated as limited stop express routes (MiExpress) and regular routes (MiLocal). MiExpress buses have a new blue and white livery on the outside; cushier seats, reading lights, and power outlets on the inside. These will eventually be used on the Bus Rapid Transit corridor when it comes online in 2013. The local buses get a refreshed orange and white livery, but it will be a few more years before the entire fleet changes to the new colour scheme.
This was my ride for the morning commute, a brand new hybrid taken from City Centre Terminal:
There were free MiWay t-shirts to be had while supplies lasted!
Here is my ride home. I took a little detour to Clarkson GO so I could have a chance to ride an articulated MiExpress bus:
The seats were as comfortable as advertised, but alas the reading lights and power outlets were not working. This could be the result of the driver disabling them though.
